I have over twenty years experience teaching in a variety of settings including community led projects, art enrichment days and cross curricular activities for many different age groups. Teaching is a highly rewarding and joyful aspect to the art I make. I love watching a classroom full of children grow in confidence as they start a creative process. From a simple warm up exercise in mark making to a more challenging woven textile piece there is nothing quite like the concentration, openness and energy as they learn and discover new materials. Projects include Go Go Hares Break Children’s Charity, AYOYD - Art On Your Doorstep, Our Norfolk Our Adventure, Norfolk WW1 Poppy Appeal.
I am also a fully qualified Arts Award Adviser which can be achieved at five levels, four qualifications and an introductory award. This award inspires young people to grow their arts and leadership talents, its creative, valuable and accessible. In 2018 I achieved my Mental Health First Aid Certificate to enhance my understanding of creativity and well being.
